CONTINUING EDUCATION

This course will let you learn to identify and fix minor emergencies through various rescue scenarios. The Rescue Diver certification is a requirement for the PADI Divemaster Course.

About the Course

Scuba divers describe the PADI Rescue Diver course as the most challenging yet rewarding course they’ve ever taken. In this course, you will learn how to identify, prevent and manage problems in the water. Learn to think like a rescue diver through home study and skill practice with an instructor!

 

You will learn how to:

Self-rescue

Recognize and manage stress in other divers

Emergency management and equipment

Rescue panicked divers

Rescue unresponsive divers

 

What's included?

  • PADI e-learning
  • Emergency First Respond e-learning
  • PADI certificate
  • Emergency First Respond certificate
  • 2x tuition for Emergency First Respond and Rescue Diver
  • Pool session (max. 2x)

What's not included?

  • Open Water session to island along with all logistic needed, such as: boat, accommodation, meals, diving, etc.
  • Dive gears rental in open water session
  • Entrance ticket to marina (if any)
  • Personal expenses
  • Dive guide tip
  • Additional charge for boat charter
  • Marine park fees (if any)

Prerequisite:

  • Have completed PADI Open Water Diver Course
  • Have completed PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
  • 12 years old or older
  • Have completed CPR and First Aid Course in the past 24 months
  • Have completed the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive

You will need:

  • Basic scuba gear
  • A pocket mask to practice underwater resuscitation
  • Practice CPR and First Aid while completing the course

Course Journey

Step 1. Theory Session

This includes theory session for Emergency First Respond and for Rescue Diver.

 

  • Time to complete: 8-12 hours (in 2 days).

Step 2. Pool / Confined Water Session

With our PADI certified instructor, you will learn how to be a reliabel diving buddy! This course is seriously fun as you will handle scenarios like handling a leg cramp or tired diver with your diving peers.

 

  • Time to complete: in 2 days (additional charge for additional session).

Step 3. Open Water Session

The last step is where you are required to go to the island that meets the requirements for Open Water dive.

 

  • Time to complete: min. 1 day.

More Info

Odydive will arrange island schedule with a minimum requirement of 4 students following the pool sessions.

This course expires after 3 months.

Scuba Diving requires the participant to be in good physical health. If you have a chronic health condition, we may ask for a doctor’s note to allow you to start your training. Please contact Odydive centre for more information.

This course is a requirement to Divemaster course.
